To kick it off, I’ve seen a number of the VW Jetta ads on TV, demonstrating the importance of a safe vehicle. Seth Stevenson of Slate does a good job explaining the ads and discusses the demographics and purpose of the ads, according to VW. They definitely get your attention – which is the name of the game in media…. the commercials are graphic and jarring. I think of them when I’m on the road sometimes, especially after being hit from behind this year on the freeway. I am curious to see how they work.
Does fear work here? Internet requests for price quotes have risen 59 percent, according to Stuart Waterman of Autoblog.
