It’s important to seize opportunities when they present themselves. More times than I like to count, I’ve contacted another small business owner with a press oppotunity only to be told they were “too busy.” Hey, you should never be too busy to get some free press. Here are a couple of examples that have happened to me recently.
In the Power Home Biz newsletter, the editor suggested that subscribers send in their news releases as they were adding a news page to the site.
Result: I have and two of my releases have been posted.
In the NFIB newsletter, there was a small section that asked subscribers to submit a website they couldn’t live without.
Result: I submitted my response and was interviewed by My Business magazine. You can see the online version of the article by clicking here.
Could this be you? You bet it could! Seize those opportunities when they present themselves. You never know what might be around the next corner for you. Pay attention to small details and act.
