Sales Kickstart, a new small business webinar series, is profiling the hot and hip and sharp young companies out there that are doing it right and driving online sales.
Etsy.com is our first Doing Sales Right profile. You have to simply love Etsy. They are helping the small business owner, the micro-enterprise, the solopreneur, the startup, or probably the best description: The craftsman, craftsperson, artist, creators.
They are everything to a grassroots movement of empowering entrepreneurs. That is not only my opinion, and here is why they are here this week, that is also the opinion of 130,433 fans on Facebook. But that pales in comparison to their 1,255,374 Twitter followers. Compete shows they have over 5 MILLION visitors a month to the site. The Etsy community gets well over 110,000 unique visitors a month.
They are doing it right. They are inspiring the rest of us. They provide a safe and profitable environment for work-at-home artisans and crafts people to build a company. Etsy is kickin’ it, doing it right, hitting it out of the park. Our hats are off to Etsy.com.
From their site: Etsy.com is the world’s most vibrant handmade marketplace, offering millions of unique items from sellers in more than 150 countries. We connect shoppers with independent creators and designers to find inspiring handmade goods, while providing artists and makers a platform on which to build their own businesses.
Profile Next Up: Grasshopper.com (a virtual phone system for entrepreneurs).
