Wow, what a run, what a month. We’ve done 7 webinars in four weeks to help small business owners with their online sales and websites. I figured – how hard could it be to run a webinar? I have helped moderate and manage and lead on other webinars. Should be a piece of cake for me to run my own.
Sound glitches. Video challenges. Feedback loops with screeching tones. Frozen screens. Attendees who can’t mute their phone. Registration forms that don’t work.
We start the May series next week on May 6! Yes, you read that right. What a fun way to share expertise and ideas
and thought leadership. I learned a ton and had enough positive feedback to continue the insanity.
Our terrific lead sponsor: Infusionsoft, the email marketing 2.0 gurus, helped pave the way for me to finally get my own game on with email. Imagine — an online marketing consultant with no email newsletter. The shame. The shame. Look for my review of my first forays into email marketing 2.0 coming here shortly. I’ll share some of the logic that flows straight out of their system and into how you market. Important new ways to think about how you reach, connect with, and serve your customers and prospects.
MarketingSherpa offered up a grand prize of a free ticket to their Email Marketing workshop. I’ll post more, but you can sign up for email to keep up with the hot schedule – sign up right here.
I was surprised that Support Services: Using a Virtual Assistant to Grow Your Profits was tied with Email Marketing as one of the most popular in our series. Then, of course, Improving Website Conversion was third. I say, “Of course” because we get so many requests from Sales Rescue Team submissions that we put that one together based on input. We had Gerald Weber, (@the_gman) founder of the Search Engine Marketing Group, the Houston SEO Experts to call. Great stuff. Based on feedback and conversations after the event with Attendees, it appears that LinkBuilding is one topic to cover. Vertical Measures link-building guru Kaila Strong will probably participate in that one, too.
More updates soon.
TJ McCue is founder of Sales Rescue Team, a pay-it-forward lab where a mostly volunteer team gives free reviews to small business owners to help them improve their website sales. Sales Kickstart webinars spawned out of that lab due to requests for more help, more ideas, to grow an online presence.
