We all have tolerations – those little tiny things that IRK us and drive us crazy. Sometimes, it is something like a faulty garage door opener or burned out light or overflowing office (OK, not so tiny of an issue). These irritants take energy away from us and stall us. We can’t focus as well when things bother us.
So, try removing just ONE of these tolerations. Just one. It may surprise you how great you’ll feel.
I had an e-mail glitch (too boring and technical to explain here) that has been bothering me for weeks. It has prevented me from communicating with a business alliance partner (other than through my personal GMail account) – and while all other email worked, I could email him but not receive a reply back from him. Ever try one-sided e-mail, where you can only send but not hear back? It really defeats the purpose.
My great tech partner Acrosonic have appeared to have solved it yesterday. I’m still waiting for the final results – to see if my colleagues can get email from me again – but just realized how relieved I feel getting this taken care of. I even missed a meeting yesterday because of the troubleshooting going on.
Now I’m making a list of three more tolerations to remove – and will do them, one at a time. Try it, and report your success in the comments portion of this blog post. Small or large, tolerations drain us and ignoring them isn’t the solution.
