As a continuation of the last blog post regarding backing up your QuickBooks data file, another option you have to schedule your backup is to schedule and automatic backup of your file…I will outline the steps here, please if you have a question – shoot me an e-mail or leave a comment here on the site.
To schedule automatic backups of your QuickBooks data:
- On the File manu, click Back Up.
- In QuickBooks Backup, click the Schedule Backup tab.
- If you would like QuickBooks to back up your data when you close the program, click Automatically back up when closing data file every, and type the interval at which you’d like the backups to take place in Times.
- Click OK to return to QuickBooks Home
If you are setting up an automatic backup you should leave your copy of QuickBooks in single-user mode. QuickBooks will not backup data when in multi-user mode.
