Promoting your products and services involves more than the Internet. Of course the
Internet is one of the most powerful ways to promote anything, but
sometimes you have to go offline.
In my previous post,
I stressed the need for a list. And, for our upcoming 4 week mentoring
program, Law of Action 2.0, I wrote about using email to promote an
early bird, VIP offer to alumni of the first program.
Once that promotion is complete, it’s time to move on.
Promote Your Program with a Free Teleseminar
Our next step in promoting Law of Action 2.0 is to offer a free info teleseminar.
To attract more people into the program, we’re offering a free teleseminar called 5 Internet Marketing Traps That Can Derail Your Business.
Of course to promote the free teleseminar we have to do all the same
steps as we do to promote the 4 week program and the first order of
business was to send an email out to our entire client database.
Our goal for the free class is to have 1,000 registrations. Less
than an hour after sending the email, we had 95 registered
participants. In less than 24 hours, we had 298 registrations. The free class is in 2 weeks (June 24) so that’s not a
But let’s go back to the teleseminar.
Why would we do a free teleseminar to promote a fee-based teleseminar?
The free teleseminar will offer an overview of the material we will
cover in the 4 week Law of Action 2.0 program. And, we are very clear
on the registration page that this is an info call for the program.
We use InstantTeleseminar
to deliver and record our classes. The web based system allows us to
handle 200 people on the telephone bridge line and up to 2000 people on
a webcast page. On the webcast page, our audience can also submit
questions directly to us while we’re on the call and I can manage those
We’re finding more and more of our audience are using the online
webcast page to listen via their computer rather than making the long
distance phone call. Make sure you’re offering your audience the option
to listen online vs. on the phone. They’ll love you for it.
Give Prospects a Taste of What They’ll Learn
The free teleseminar allows prospects to get a “taste” of me, Patsi
and Kathleen. It’s an opportunity for them to get valuable information
– a must on a free call (don’t just pitch, give good, actionable info)
– and decide if they want more. They can ask questions and find out if
the in depth program will meet their needs.
We know the Law of Action 2.0 program is not for everyone, but
attending the free info call allows people to find out and make up
their mind. This reduces “buyers remorse” later in the sales process.
It allows us to show what we know and how it will benefit the person
who is ready to take action and take their business to the next level.
It gives us the opportunity to make a persuasive pitch.
