Sometimes when you’re on the go, it’s tough to figure out how to hook up your merchant processing equipment so you can make sales for your business. What a hassle to have to find electricity at trade shows and fairs along with having to lug all sorts equipment with you when you go.
According to a news release I received last week, your life just got simpler. All you need is a cell phone, software from your cell phone carrier, and a PayPal account. Very easy. Here’s the scoop.
Transaction Wireless, a mobile commerce payment and marketing company, announced an agreement with PayPal to power the company’s wCharge Credit Card Terminal which allows small merchants to accept credit card payments virtually anywhere, securely and conveniently using only a mobile phone and a PayPal account.
This will allow you to take advantage of PayPal’s cost effective credit card processing fees and get an immediate approval or decline notice for a submitted payment. It looks like this could save you time and money by eliminating fraudulent payments at the source.
What looks like another great feature is that you only need one account. That means if you have a remote workforce, they can use their current mobile phones and easily use one organized portal with transactions that can be downloaded to QuickBooks.
According the the web site, all credit card activity is completely secure via an encrypted SSL network and specific card numbers are removed from the mobile phone instantly (never stored), converting to order codes and offering additional protection than the average paper based transaction. Receipts can be emailed or SMSed to the purchaser.
I love the potential for this service. What do you think?
