Larry Chase is smart and has been around a long time. In his latest newsletter he offers up some great advice on how you can make it easy for the press to find you and write about you.
Chase says, and I agree, “Create a Useful Press Section: It’s astonishing to realize how useless many company’s online press sections are. You’re not going to get press, get quoted or be included in an article if your company information is as impenetrable as a Rubik’s cube.”
Oftentimes companies can get so focused on creating a good marketing outreach that they forget the press needs to have all the materials about your company easily accessible and not in “Rubik’s cube” form. Don’t make it hard on journalists to cover your story. Help them easily reach you and get the information they need to get.
