Just a brief note here. I’ve been listening to the audio version of Freakonomics and really loving it. It’s about applying the tools of economics to questions that are a little less…boring. The authors keep a blog over here.
I noticed that they’ve got a recent posting putting out a call for poker data. The responses so far seem to be along the lines of "I can get you that data, but it’ll cost you." Kind of a drag, but not unexpected, I guess.
So, if there are any altruistic poker players with massive amounts of data from online hands, go visit the Freakonomics guys…maybe you can help.
