A few people have written me asking how my podcasts and webcasts are going, so I thought I would share the stats. Overall, I am very happy with the progress.
Here’s the download chart for podcasts for the last 30 days:
You can see that there are some peaks and valleys, usually corresponding to the release of a new podcast. This includes all types of listeners – click from blog, downloading the MP3 and iTunes and other subscriptions.
I can see the numbers for each podcast and each one has had several hundred plays. I will be coming out with several more podcasts soon!
Here is the chart for the webcasts (even though it says "Podcast" on the chart). I have not done a new webcast for quite a while, so that fact that it is this high is surprising to me. I had an annoying audio echo that took a while to fix working with Camtasia technicians. The good news is that it IS now fixed and I will be offering a new webcast next week sometime.
Compared to other podcasts, I have no idea if this is good or poor performance – it is not important to me. What I value is being able to reach out to 600 or more people each day with the podcasts and webcasts. And I assume the audience will grow with time as will my skills.
The podcasts and webcasts do take some work, but they are fun to do and I like the learning process. I hope you have been enjoying them too. If you have a topic you would like to see me address in a future podcast or webcast, drop it in the comments section.
