After all those official bits, the purpose of your travels, there is only one thing left. Pleasure!
This is my favourite subject on which to blog. Often business trips are the only time I get to find some personal space in my busy life. Certainly there is work to do, people to meet, places to find and keyboards to hit, but at the end of the day, week or trip, I make sure I take time out.
I am not alone. In a recent survey by Travelocity.com nearly eight out of ten long-haul travelers added holiday days to their business trips while 68% of short haul travellers took a personal break at the end of their business trips.
So have fun after that conference, seminar or whatever else has taken you away. At least you are away. Have a break, a mini-holiday, see the world or even just blodge on the couch for a while (I love that word blodge, I just made it up). Turn a tedious business trip into a pleasurable bit of R & R and it can be at minimal cost, because you are already there at your destination and may have met locals who give you tips on what to do and where to go.
Let me know what you do for Pleasure during business trips, I am looking for a great list.
