When you live in the snow-bound state of
Leaving it at the airport is an entirely different problem. If I drive it to the airport on a nice sunny day, who’s to say that it won’t snow 8” on the day I return? If I drive the truck to the airport, what would my wife drive when it snows while I’m gone? Let’s face it, quite a few of us travelers are without a decent, reliable solution when it comes to getting to and from the airport; especially those of us on a budget. It’s not convenient (or fair) to ask my wife to drive me to the airport and to pick me up every week. I could expense a cab, but I get sick when I ride in them and they smell awful.
I found a solution at my car dealership (of all places). They have an “airport service” where they will securely park and watch over your car while you’re gone (for free), and they even have a free airport shuttle service. When you return, you can either have them park it at the airport’s Valet car service (washed and serviced and ready to go) or they will send a shuttle to pick you up and bring you back to the dealership where you can pick up your car. If you return after hours, they’ll leave the car in a safe “customer lot” where you can take a cab from the airport and pick it up. It’s a perfect solution for me because the cab ride to the dealership is closer and cheaper than a cab ride home. They offer this service to non-dealership customers also, if they elect to have some service done to their car while they’re away (oil change, tire rotation, etc). They even wash the car at no extra charge.
So, pick up the phone and give your dealership a call before your next trip! You might just save some money, some time, and you’ll return to a nice clean car!
