As I mentioned in my last post, Has Twitter Reached The Tipping Point, I had sent out a tweet asking people for advice on a CRM quality assurance project we were started in my organization. One of the responses was from Lexnet Consulting Group. I started following them on Twitter and wound up reading their blog post, Twitter and CRM Integration-What’s In Store written by Steve Chipman.
I had been joking last week that I was going to submit an enhancement request asking for a field to be added to our CRM software allowing us to capture Twitter addresses. After reading that blog post, I now think that will be happening sooner rather than later.
I think Steve has some very valid ideas. These go beyond the usual, “Send out tweets to your customers to let them know abut your latest special.”
If you’ve come up with some innovative ideas on how to use Twitter, send me an e-mail and let me know. I’m also still looking for advice on setting up a CRM QA program to enhance data quality.
And of course, you can still follow me on Twitter. I’m txglennross.
