– ‘One Giant Global Labor Pool’ is what it looks like is going to be the result of globalization. The problem here is that this means a lowering of the average American’s standard of living. This means tumultous times in the future. To compete with lower priced overseas labor this article points out that we must increase our productivity. This will keep wages and standards of living up and fend off overseas competition. The small business owner should be looking at ways to make their employees more productive, not just to increase their profits but also to make sure that their employees stay employeed and employable. This will help make the coming times less troublesome and hopefully keep everyone happy (and productive;-)). -ed.
