I love my iPod! Not so much for listening to music, but I like to listen to podcasts (as I mentioned in this blog post). But I fear my trusty iPod has reached the end of its useful life cycle. Its battery is not holding a charge very well and the other day it just didn’t wake up. Several attempts at rebooting the device yielded no response. I feared my iPod had died for good.
Then I remembered that I have had this iPod for about 18 months which seems to be the time whichsome people report the device begins to fail.
So I went online and began to look the at the latest iRiver device. Heidi Miller, who is a Presentation Specialist, used her iRiver to record a recent podcast which I thought was pretty impressive. So about the time I was ready to add the iRiver to my shopping cart, the iPod woke up. By itself. Stranger than truth hmm?
It seems to be working again, but I suppose I should budget for a new digital player since I suspect I’m living on borrowed time with it. So do I get another iPod or an iRiver? Or something else? Drop me a comment or email if you have any recommendations. I’d love to hear from anyone on Digital players.
