Whether your home-based business is a Network Marketing business, an eBay business, a web store, service business or other, your business likely depends heavily on your computer. This summer has seen some undesirable electrical supply problems so far in some home and business neighborhoods.
If your computer is a notebook computer, you can keep going if the power goes out. With a notebook computer, you could pick up your business and move elsewhere rather quickly if you had to. In a widespread regional disaster such as Katrina last year it may not provide that much of an advantage. But for those local power blackouts like the ones that hit parts of St. Louis and New York City this summer, you could keep going. In addition, notebook computers have their own battery so when the power clips off suddenly, you don’t lose your work.
Yes, notebook computers generally cost more, but doesn’t their portability make up for it? What about you? Do you use a notebook or desktop for your home-based business?
