I’ve been thinking a bit about the Localism.org concept, and I wonder if it’s just better to make it an online ad agency? Just solicit ads, let bloggers post them, and pass the revenue to international charitable organizations. It’s kinda the same concept as I mentioned earlier, but without the overhead of maintaining blogs. Of course, it brings it’s own overhead…
Anyway, I’m still working on the incorporation as a non-profit. A kindly reader pointed me to a few resources, including this book, which I’ve got on hold at the library.
Truth is, this project scares me because I don’t want to become consumed by it, and I don’t have the technical skills to pull it off on my own. The big hurdle right now is getting over the incorporation, I guess. Then it’ll be on to finding some kind of bloggish benefactor.
Well, it’ll be a good experience at the least. 🙂
