It’s that time of year again! Time for the old year to go away and to make plans for the New Year. If you have a home based business or plan to start one, are you making new year’s goals or just new year’s resolutions?
New Year’s resolutions have a bad reputation. Let’s face it: most people don’t have very much success with them. How many people do you know that are going to ‘quit smoking’ or ‘lose weight’ for their New Year resolution? And how many of them actually succeed in achieving that? Most will be back next year end with the same resolution.
One problem with New Year’s resolution is that they are done mostly for fun or to honor a tradition. Goals on the other hand, are something you actually intend to work toward. Goals can be achieved by setting a series of smaller, intermediate goals that move you towards the overall goal. Few people give that kind of thought to resolutions, yet many people treat their goals like a New Year’s resolution. Usually when goals are treated lightly like that, they don’t go anywhere and fizzle out like a bottle of New Year’s champagne left open.
So what about your goals for the New Year? Are they really goals or are they just a resolution? Happy New Year from the Home Based Business Blog at AllBusiness.Com!
