Business travel used to mean that you could enjoy perks in planes and hotels that you didnt get at home. Back in them 20th Century days it used to be lovely bedding and thermostats. Then it became entertainment just for you to watch or listen to in your guest room or plane.
Then with the digital revolution, home entertrainments systems overtook hotels and planes in offering pizzaz and range. Now in an effort to right the dreadful wrong – after all people want better than they have at home when they pay to fly or stay – upgrading is involving high-dedinitinon flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, a wider range of programming and personal inflight systems.
Of course all this will appear in the home soon – if it has not already – and then hospitality will have to think of something newer, better, bigger and brasher….
