Remember NBC’s “Green Week”, with the green peacock, and Al Gore’s appearance on “30 Rock”? Well, NBC Universal is having another green week and the advertisers are showing their interest.
“Green is good for the environment and green—if done well and strategically—can be good for business as well,” said Lauren Zalaznick, head of NBC Universal’s green initiative.
Special programming will be broadcast across the entire NBC Universal network, with innovative pod-busters being launched during commercial breaks. Soy Joy, who produces soy energy bars, is targeting their 18-49, female audience, with pod-busters during green week. SJ Johnston and GE have signed on as well.
