J. When you have a customer service issue that can’t be resolved through the representative be sure to ask to speak with a manager. However give the representative a chance to do their job. That’s what they’re there for. It also builds a stronger case for a resolution in your favor.
K. Ask for and keep receipts just in case. When asking for a refund you’ll stand a better chance of getting it if you have proof of purchase. Make sure they are dated as well.
L. Don’t delay in asking for a refund or resolution. The longer you wait the weaker your case becomes. Can you really expect to get a refund on a case that’s 3 months old?
M. Document everything (or as much as you can) and keep all of your receipts, paperwork and correspondents together -until the problem has been resolved. This will also come in handy if you have to litigate since judges rule on documentation rather than hearsay. One way of making sure that your documents are valid and legitimate for court is by using an electronic notary like www.proofspace.com which offers time stamp technology making it impossible to fake a document which becomes important for proving your case. Think People’s Court.
By the way, I received the check exactly 5 days after my conversation with Tammy along with a follow up call to make sure I was happy. Thanks again, Tammy.
