With many mobile phone conversations, it tends to be not so much “can you hear me now,” as opposed to “I can’t hear you!” This is because the speakers in many mobile handsets just can’t provide enough volume, especially for those times when there is an abundance of outside ambient noise. Trying to hear a conversation with a Treo or similar smartphone in a crowded room or out on an urban street can be nearly impossible.
A few companies have tried to solve the problem, both with various in-ear headsets that block all outside noise, as well as amplification that merely increases the volume. Neither is really a good idea because increasing the volume may let you hear you the conversation, but it also increases the decimals that you’re shooting into your ear. As someone who’d like to hear, and enjoy surround sound in my old age, I avoid anything that increases the sound.
A better solution is to reduce the background noise and that’s just what Motorola’s new line of Bluetooth headsets promise to do. The just unveiled MOTOPURE H15 and Motorola H780 feature technology to help reduce noise so you can hear the other person when making calls with a mobile handset.
The headsets, which have been tested to work with more than 200 phone mobiles from more than 15 brands, include multipoint technology to enable users to connect to both personal and business phones simultaneously so if you’re like me and have multiple phones you don’t need to enable the headset when you switch phones.
The MOTOPURE H15 features the Motorola flip design and RapidConnect technology to make sure it activates as soon as you open it. When charged for 15 minutes it will provide more than an hour of talk time and the headset can recharge on a desktop stand. The Motorola H780 features CrystalTalk technology, along with seven hours of hands-free talk time. The headset has a small 9mm speaker inside, and has a brushed, carbon fiber finish to provide a sleek and chic look.
The MOTOPURE H15 and H790 will be available later this year, and pricing should be announced soon. We’ll be sure to stay connected.
