To be quite honest, I’m surprised at the number of people who will jump on a plane to fly around the country, or the world, for a simple business meeting. Environmental aspects aside, what about the time and the money? Web conferencing is cheap, easy, and you’re not taking up space in a carbon-dumping airplane.
That’s why I was happy to read that web conferencing is becoming the leading green measure that businesses are implementing. InterCall ran a survey on greenconferencing.com through January, and 900 respondents told them that 66% were using conference tools to cut down on their carbon footprint. The majority take less then three business trips a year now.
