Want to impress your sweetheart? You could buy her flowers. Or a diamond ring. Or (our favorite) take her to a ballgame.
Or you could do something really special: hire Brian Alex to write a love song for her.
Alex is the founder of Custom Love Songs. You give him a call, spend a few hours spilling your guts about your girlfriend–or wife or mistress or whatever–then Alex pens a tune to convince her you’re truly a guy with a heart, not just some lunk with a comb-over and a credit card.
How much do these custom ditties cost? Pricing is available on request. But considering that Alex spends a month on each song and employs a Grammy-winning mixer and an engineer who’s worked with Mariah Carey, we’re guessing his services aren’t cheap.
His past clients include CEOs, company presidents and American presidents: he once performed for Bill Clinton.
Here’s a sample from a serenade Alex composed for a rich Saudi who first spotted his fiancee while having coffee.
“In a cafe we had met,
Though not a word was spoken yet.
I had seen your eyes
And could not get you off my mind.”
Now, if we were oil sheiks forking over some petrodollars for a romantic tune, we’d at least want it to rhyme.
But what do we know? The last love song we paid for cost 50 cents on the jukebox at the corner saloon: “Get Your Tongue Out of My Mouth ‘Coz I’m Kissing You Goodbye.”
Eat your heart out, Brian Alex.
