As the next generation of mothers steps up to the plate, they’re finding employers more willing to work with them by providing flexible schedules and telecommuting options that allow for work / life balance. And, according to The New Mommy Track, they’re getting more help at home too.
The search for work / life balance is a slippery slope for small business owners. You want excellent, top notch employees but most of you still want them within earshot. It’s time to get over that. Today’s employees are used to focusing on outcomes. Given the right set of tools, both at home and at work, this generation of workers can excel pretty much anywhere.
And the bottom line is that if you don’t accommodate them, they may just end up as your newest competitor.
