Have you noticed the new commercials chronicling Paul McCartney’s life that says, "the secret is to never stop having fun." I can’t remember what the commercial was actually trying to sell….
Never stop having fun…..Great advice….
The rub is that many people are not having nearly enough fun NOW. So saying to never stop having fun is like handing out flyers for stock trading programs to the unemployed.
What does fun look like to you? What does it feel like? Personally, I get a charge out of saying just the right thing that allows an individual or group to see things in a new way. I have fun facilitating breakthroughs.
For managers and leaders, it is the moments of greatness, that make the otherwise complex and hassle-ridden role rewarding and motivating.
Paul McCartney found his niche. What is yours? In what environment do you experience moments of greatness?
Moments of greatness = fun. That’s what I think.
