I am so embarrassed. A prospective client was referred my way a couple of weeks ago. We talked for a bit over the phone and set up a meeting. We had to juggle a little because her schedule is busy and so is mine. We finally found a mutually agreeable day and time and planned to meet.
Sounds great, huh?
Not. She called me last Wednesday and wondered where I was. Oops. Not a great way to make a good first impression. She had written the date on her calendar as April 27 and I wrote it on May 4. We agreed to the day (Wednesday) and the time (9am), but failed to clarify the date. Fortunately she can make the 4th and we’re on. Whew!
Don’t let this happen to you. Make sure you confirm, the day, time and date when you are setting up a meeting. Yes, sometimes the small details do count.
