This afternoon at Microsoft’s Small Business Summit 2008, the winner of the $100,000 Total Technology Makeover was announced by Cindy Bates, General Manager for U.S. Small Business at Microsoft.
Huge congratulations to
GymStars Gymnastics, Inc.!!!
Located in Stockton, CA, GymStars Gymnastics provides instruction for children with gymnastics, cheer, karate and dance to help develop the confidence, poise and perseverance kids need to grow physically and mentally.
The company’s computer system, however, is currently made up of increasing stacks of paper records, aging hardware and outdated security and backup systems. With the recent win of the $100,000 technology makeover from Microsoft and Dell, which includes $35,000 to work with their local Small Business Specialist partner to implement and understand their new technology, the small business will now be able to spend more time concentrating on teaching backflips than worrying about backups. Their plans include reallocating budget normally spent on IT issues to further benefit the children they work with.
<!–The Total Technology Makeover also benefited two remaining finalists with $10,000 each in software and hardware from Microsoft and Dell – MouCo Cheese Company, Inc., out of Fort Collins, CO and Sid’s Bikes NYC, out of New York City.
<!–This year’s FREE Microsoft Small Business Summit, March 24-27, takes place exclusively online and features more than 50 entrepreneurs and small business industry experts to discuss topics ranging across sales and marketing; productivity, mobility and security; financial management; and startups.
