The 1200 golden arches across the United Kingdom will be serving only Rainforest Alliance tea from now on. PG Tips’ will be providing the eco-friendly/socially conscious tea, while McDonald’s previous supplier, Tetley, is out a large client. According to the Telegraph, McDonalds has been focused on creating a more eco-friendly image in the U.K. They switched to fair-trade coffee last year, they’re running their delivery vehicles on cooking oil, and they’re using free-range eggs and organic milk.
We’re still not sure what’s in the secret sauce however.
