I’ve been busy lately and haven’t done much blogging. Laid off from a job at the end of 2005 and been working hard to finally land a new job last week. Even though you’re not working, searching for a gig feels like more work than having a job. You don’t have a routine and you’re constantly preparing for interviews, tailoring resumes, and searching for other new opportunities. I should be back to a normal routine and regular blogging soon.
Yesterday I took advantage of my time in between jobs and watched the Mavericks Big Wave surfing competition from a boat within the spectator fleet. While the quality isn’t as good as I would’ve hoped for (the boat didn’t get cose enough this year, you get the idea of how big the surf is down at Mavericks in Half Moon Bay, CA. Attending the event is tricky. You have to purchase a ticket for the boat in advance but there’s only 24 hours notice before the big event happens. You never know whether the contest will fall on a big work day or not.
Anyway, I’ve posted a few pictures from the contest on my photoblog.
