If you’re selling physical products online as your home-based business, chances are you’re sending out an email shipping notification with each order. You know, the ones that say something like – Your order has been shipped UPS Ground and your tracking number is…..
Customers really like getting these email notifications for at least 3 reasons. One, it tells them their order is actually on the way and not just sitting in a queue somewhere. Two, it gives them a way to track the progress of their order. Third, they can look at the tracking information to see when they might expect the order to arrive.
Since there’s a really good chance the customers will actually read these emails, why not put small, but targeted promotions after the shipping information? Here are some ideas.

You get the idea right? For those customers who have not ‘opted in’ to receive email from you, this might be one of the few chances you will get to market to them and win them as a return customers. So use these notifications as opportunities and if even a few of your customers act on them, you’ll win.
