A few weeks ago, I blogged about Business Meetings for a Home-Based Business. If you’re running a home-based business, one of the issues you may face is isolation. We tend to work in our homes, stay busy, and forget that networking should be a core component of any business. One way you can establish networking circles or meet up with like minded home-based business people in your area is by joining Meetup.Com.
You can enter your city and your keyword (e.g. “seattle home business”) and it will show you all sorts of groups that already exist in your area. If you live in any kind of large town or city, chances are there will be other home-based business people you can meet with.
It’s free to sign up, but if you want to be a meeting organizer, there is a fee (which you could spread throughout your group). So just because you have a home-based business and work at home doesn’t mean you can’t do a little face to face networking.
