Do you make time for your own ongoing education and professional development in your home based business? Is it part of your schedule to include books, professional courses, and other development items at least once a week?
I was reminded that I have not been attending to that myself as well as I should have. I recently checked out a book by Joe Sugarman from the library because I have a fascination with copywriting and really wanted to read it. The check out period was three weeks. At the end of the 3 weeks, I had only got to page 10. Hmm. Clearly some work needed to be done there. That prompted me to start scheduling some time for professional development in my own daily routine.
It’s easy to get caught up in our daily business building and other regular things that we see as monetization activities. And it’s easy to forget about such things – like reading a business book – that are not direct monetization activities. But such activities are important and deserve some time because they contribute to our growth and improvement.
What about you? Do you schedule time for those kinds of activities or does it come naturally?
