Want to retain more customers? A common theme in my posts for small business owners on building sales and revenues revolves around drip marketing – that is, ongoing, personalized contact with your prospective customers, your existing customers, and your referral partners.
Not once or twice, but many touches throughout the year.
Last year on Valentine’s Day I posted an article from marketing expert Jim Cecil of Nurture Marketing. The way his site is set up, you need to go to his home page, then go to: free stuff, then “nurture articles” and THEN to “Nine Customer Love Letters”. [ugh… not very elegant navigation, but worth the hassle]
Jim says it well, and has built a large business around helping companies touch their prospects on a regular basis.
Why? Because it shows that you care. It shows that you are in it for the long-haul. It shows that you are a planner and a nurturer. It shows your professionalism.
Enjoy the article, and think about nine “love letters” you can create for your clients starting with a thank you note as Jim mentions.
