AirTroductions.com lets its members post their profiles and travel schedules so they can meet people with similar business or personal interests by arranging flight seating, sharing departure or arrival information or even a cab. There is a $5 fee. AirTroductions.com says it has signed up 15,000 members since is inception in August 2005.
On Arrival (www.onarrival.com) provides a free notice board and other services so members and users can discuss local insights, find useful information” or just make new friends.
Companions 2 Travel (www.companions2travel.co.uk) is a good resource for pairing people who want company.
