If you’re running a home-based business, you may notice that there never seems to be enough time. This is particularly true if you are flying solo or are a working mom with young children to attend to at home. Always looking for opportunities to save time can often cause these opportunities to be revealed to you. And they may be small or seem insignificant at first unless you look close.
For example, say you ship packages and use the USPS Click N Ship. If you just use Click N Ship as is, your label will print on plain paper. You must then tape it to the box in ‘border style’ – taking care not to cover the barcode as they recommend.
You can purchase ‘peel and stick’ labels for USPS Click N Ship which, as the name implies, will stick right on your boxes without your having to spend any time taping them. This might appear to be a small, insignificant improvement at first. But if you ship dozens or even hundreds of packages a day, these labels that cost about 29 cents each will pay for themselves in saved time.
Keeping an eye on things that eat up your time will often cause you to look for better ways to do them. We always have the same time every day; the only variable is how we use it!
