Given that Bob Nardelli made customer service abysmal when he led Home Depot, perhaps this recession has a silver lining for HD.
Might I suggest better signage such as maps near the entrances that indicate where items are? Yea, I know they have large signs on the endcaps but may times they’re too generic.. I’ve noticed that my nearest Depot has a greeter now. Put a large map of the store next to him, and he’ll have an opening to better help people when they stop to look at it.
