The demise or at least partial fall of business travel is trumpeted regularly – what with terrorism, technology and cutting costs, business travel is usually predicted to be one of the casualties.
Business travel will probably not ever really die. Some aspects of business are essentially face-to-face, though teleconferencing is proving to be a viable alternative for many companies.
At a recent Association of Corporate Travel Executive forum, there was much talk about the move for big corporations to hire small business jets to move their staff around the world. This may also be an option for medium businesses or small ones, who may find that grouping their people with other small business on popular business routes may just save money, time and give good impressions.
