I´m offering you a challenge. Find some quiet time and think of all the little and inexpensive things you could do to show your customers how much you care about them and their business. Pick the best two ideas. Put those two ideas into action immediately.
I received two books as part of winning Best Marketing Blog in The 2005 Business Blogging Awards, the books were great! While I’ve received countless books in the mail from numerous sources, these books were different – they included a personal note from the President of 800-CEO-READ, the sponsor of the prize, congratulating me for having won the award. I can’t remember the packaging or anything special about receiving the numerous books I’ve bought over the years, but I’ll never forget 800-CEO-READ. Why? Because they cared.
Think of how easy is it to send a note or make a phone call that no one expects receiving. Imagine the impact on your customers of being remembered, thought of, and appreciated for having done business with your company. A simple note, phone call, token gift — the return is incredible. Be sincere. Care.
