Doot-ta-do. And the winner is. . .amazon.com. Yup, that’s right, the best retailer for customer service doesn’t even have a store. The National Retail Federation’s (NRF) second annual customer service survey, released today, picks the online store as the best company for customer service.
Next in line behind amazon.com are Nordstrom, L.L. Bean, Overstock.com and Lane Bryant. Also in the top 10 are Boscov’s, Kohl’s, REI, Lands’ End and Macy’s.
Customers participating in the survey say they expect the most service from restaurants, followed by specialty stores and department stores.
The NRF Foundation/American Express 2006 Customer Service survey was conducted by BIGresearch.
