I admit it – I am a fan of Jeffrey Gitomer. I’d say he’s helped me increase my sales over time beginning many years ago. I’ve never met Jeffrey, but I will soon – because I’m cancelling some meetings and re-scheduling a few things to make room to see him LIVE when he is near me next week.
Even though I live and breathe selling – and have my own content and materials (with a nice, referral-based practice) I want to see Gitomer in person because he’s really carved a special niche for himself and he has built a very successful business, all the while helping salespeople be more professional and more successful.
People have varying opinions on this zany sales and customer service expert – for me, it began when I started reading his syndicated columns on selling in my local business journal. I read his Sales Bible, and all of the latest books. So I’m a bit of a Gitomer junkie – yet have never met the man.
My goal next week is to meet Mr. Gitomer and have my photo taken with him to post along with my best takeaway of the session… and encourage all of my readers in sixteen areas of the U.S. and Canada to see him when he is here – these areas are:
Sacramento, Seattle, Phoenix, Atlanta, Bay Area, Fresno, Dallas, Cincinnati, NJ, Houston, Virginia, Alabama, Boston, San Diego, Toronto, and Omaha — at some point in 2007. Just take a look at his public schedule.
If I can make the time to invest to see Jeffrey, I believe anyone in selling can – because investing in yourself is one of the most important aspects of your professional selling development.
