Here are a few posts I have been meaning to share – very interesting stuff!
From Creative Class.org comes Office Design for the Creative Class. Snippet quoting Thoma Davenport:
One factor that affects knowledge worker performance that isn’t well understood is the physical work environment-the offices, cubicles, buildings, and mobile workplaces in which knowledge workers do their jobs. There is a good deal said about this topic, but not much known about it. Even more unfortunately, most decisions about the knowledge work environment are made without seriously considering their implications for performance.
From Glen Hiemstra, the Futurist, comes Why Businesses Need to Plan for Global Warming Now.
Even though the exact manifestation of climate change in any one region or its affect on any one business is hard to predict, this is the time to begin to act. Incorporate climate change in strategic and even tactical planning. In any pending significant disaster, mitigation is less expensive than waiting, and reacting. I´ve listed a few ideas to serve as seeds for thought.
Check out the post for Glen’s suggestions.
Johnnie Moore offers this peek at stupidity (a CEO’s, not his). I want to laugh and cry at the same time.
Rob over at Businesspundit offers his top 10 posts. And they really are great ones, so check them out.
