I have been in the wireless industry for almost 16 years now and the number one issue I still see with cellular service (or at least the number one that is the easiest to fix) is – “My voice mails get delayed / My calls go straight to voice mail / My voice mails alert me 3 hours after they have been left by someone”.
I hear that 10 times a week; and every time my question to them is the same. How often do you turn your phone off? And, you guessed it – the answer is always the same – “I never turn my phone off”.
Well, you should turn your cell phone off once a day; it doesn’t have to be off for long a few minutes is fine. Each time you power down and back on your cell phone re-registers with the network and updates. This allows it to function properly – voice mails and calls get delivered like they are suppose to. 100% of the time this solves this issue.
So, if you don’t power down your cell daily – start; it will save you lost calls and delayed voice mails. Most phone have an auto no/off feature that you can set to have this happen while you sleep automatically.
