This was a tweet on Twitter by Scott Ginsberg (known on Twitter as NameTagScott) I like the question, so instead of asking it further – which you can answer on your own – I’d like to talk about “part II” – what to do once you state it out loud.
My friend Karen said “stop procrastinating” – so I will use her as an example.
OK, so you are procrastinating in areas surrounding building your business. Make it easy on yourself and just identify three things for now that you want to focus on, procrastinate less, and grow revenues. Just three.
Use a timeframe, such as, well, Summer – to put some changes or fixes in place. Get your calendar out, and start putting blocks of time in where you will focus on those three areas and then begin.
It is that simple.
But simple doesn’t always equal easy, does it?
So get some support. Hire a coach, create a deal with a mentor, or find an accountability partner. Put an agreement on paper, and focus again just on what it is that you want to accomplish by the END of summer.
This is how all great things get done. Books get written this way, prospects become clients, and systems get put in place – all through focus, clarity, and action.
So what is your ____? Identification is half the battle! Now take step two!
Post your comments on what you are working on over the summer – it will add to your accountability to have it in writing.
