Front and center would of course be the criticism loaded upon alternative fuel suppliers. Food prices are skyrocketing, partly because of demand for crops in biofuels, we have the farmer competing with the mega-corp for corn. Gulf Ethanol is saying that instead of stopping the use of ethanol; find a better source. They have committed to stop using food-based products for it’s production, and will look to grasses for replacements.
