Tomorrow is the big T-day, so get those taxes in (or file an extension) if you haven’t already done so. This year, the average return is around $2500, so what are you going to do with the money? Fund a vacation? Pick out a new pair of shoes? Or will you be saving the money for something down the road?
This article on CNN discusses 5 great uses for your tax refund. If you don’t know how that money is going to be spent, take a look and see what they suggest. Chances are you have a good idea of what you will do with at least part of the money, but these ideas will help you out with the rest.
One excellent point in the article is that the money, though not found money as it really is yours, was not needed during the rest of the year, so it should not necessarily be needed now. Therefore, put it someplace where it will work for you rather than going out and spending it all on something that you really don’t need. (But hey, spending just a tiny bit on a new pair of shoes isn’t a bad idea either!)
Welcome to Monday, Moms!
