For the last 10 years, Seth Goldman has been promoting eco-friendly lifestyles and corporate sustainability, with his company Honest Tea. Fair trade teas are used in product development, the company operates from a green building and uses recycled and reclaimed products for office furniture.
The good news is that all this hard work has paid off with Coca-Cola paying $43 million for a 40% piece of the company. The bad news is that there are now questions swirling, as to how an independent green company can keep its ideals, when it’s part of a corporate behemoth.
Seth Goldman has an answer for any detractors:
“This is about working with the world’s largest beverage company to get more sustainable health beverages to people, I won’t apologize for that to anybody. That was our original goal, and now we have the opportunity to do that.”
