One of the hardest aspects of running a business can be hiring the right people for the right positions – Jim Collins writes about “Right people in the right seats on the bus” and finding those right people or as Brad Smart – www.topgrading.com calls them; A-players can be a big time challenge.
Through the years we have tried many different approaches to hiring but it wasn’t until my time at MIT with the EO MBA program when I met Brad’s son Jeff and spent time digging into the practices of Topgrading that I truly found the process that works for this. Topgrading is just that; a systematic process to hiring that gets you those A-Players and keeps people in your funnel (called a virtual bench) with a repeatable method you can use over and over again.
