retail are actually better at giving good retail. That’s not really a surprise,
is it? But sometimes is takes someone to point out something so simplistic and
help us understand that it needs to become a strategy. That’s why he

Just extrapolate his thinking to your business. Is there a
specific retail subject someone is going to school for that makes sense for
your business? Working in the
beauty sector, I always wanted to hire students who were going to cosmetology
school vs. anyone else. Why?
Because they have a passion for beauty. It’s what they’re studying after all.
And that strategy almost always proved out. Since they were passionate about
beauty, they could sell better [and more naturally] than just about anyone
Are you selling apparel? Perhaps you hire someone who is
going to school for fashion and merchandising. Are you selling furniture and
home goods? Perhaps you hire someone who is going to school for interior
design. You get the concept.
